Tristan Allen delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Snyder Nick had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 3 assists.
During the first period, Simpson opened the scoring for the Jr. Stars with a goal at 9:04 with helpers from his linemates, Brain and Martin. Speights put in a goal at 12:49 with helpers from his teammates Sheridan and Nick.
In the second, Sykes finally put the Brahmas on the board with a goal at 13:25 with an assist from Cote.
In the third, Norris netted a goal at 2:29 with assists from his linemates, Tobey and Weycker. Schulz quickly followed with a goal at 4:23 with helpers from Allen and Nick. Allen scored what turned out to be the game winning goal at 7:17 with assists from Sheridan and Nick. Dekumbis answered for Texas with a goal at 17:52.
The Jr. Stars’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Ange’s big night as he stopped 29 of the 32 shots he faced. Ange’s counterpart, Myers, also had a big night, managing to stop 37 of 41, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Mid Cities Jr. Stars’ record to (15-5-1-0).
