Jake Ange posted a shutout, stopping all 12 of the Louisiana Drillers shots throughout the game. The Mid Cities Jr. Stars took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Logan High and never looked back.
Logan High had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 goals and Nick Sheridan contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).
During the first, High opened the scoring for the Jr. Stars with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 5:54 with a helper from Matthews. Nick quickly followed with a goal at 7:09.
In the second period, Sheridan netted a goal at 4:33. High put in a goal at 12:28 with an assist from his linemate Sheridan.
In the third, Caesar scored a goal at 16:37.
Mid Cities’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Ange’s shutout, as he stopped all 12 of the shots he faced. Ange’s counterpart, Clifford, also had a big night, managing to stop 38 of 43, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Mid Cities Jr. Stars’ record to (4-1-0-0).
